Shadowlake Village - Plan B

Our largest plan has 3 or 4 bedrooms on 2 floors, with gabled rooms upstairs.

Example of the standard B plan for a single-family home.

This versatile plan was designed with a standard version and a couple of variant versions, and has been our most used plan in one or another variant.

(1) The typical "B" plan:
  • Footprint is 28' wide x 27' or 28' deep.
  • The typical main floor has an open-plan kitchen, dining area, and living room a full bath, and a full bath.
  • The upstairs has 3 bedrooms and a full bath, with gabled rooms front and back
  • At 28' x 27', has 1362 square feet of finished interior space on the main and upper floors.

(2) A typical expanded version of the basic B plan on wider lots:
  • Footprint is 33' wide by 28' long, which is 5 feet wider than the standard B
  • Also has 3 bedrooms and a den, or 4 bedrooms, and 2 baths on 2 floors
  • 1848 sq ft finished space, plus additional square footage if there is an attached storage shed

Below is a typical B floorplan as used in a duplexed home.   Most of our duplex units and non-custom single-family homes are very much like this plan.

This unit is 28' wide by 28' deep.  It shares a large front porch with its duplex neighbor and has a private back deck.

This particular home has an open dining room/living across the back.   Another configuration, usually seen in the wider variant of the plan, splits the back end of the main floor into a dining/living area on one side and a closed-off bedroom or den on the other.
